Brit Awards Radio Sweepers

Radio imaging service RadioJinglesVIP.com had just released new sweepers themed after the recent 2012 Brit Awards.

Showcased are sweepers theme around Adele’s controversial reaction after speech was being cut off by host.

Also showcased are the winning artists of the Brits, including international artists Rihanna and Bruno Mars.

RMN - Itatak Mo

RMN, Radio Mindanao Network, known for its top notch radio imaging and production has edged out other radio news network in the country in terms of branding.

The network recently launched its latest nationwide brand campaign “Itatak Mo”, a derivative of the popular “Taktak Mo” novelty song by Joey De Leon popularized in the noontime show Eat Bulaga.

The jingle became an instant on air and online hit as in-house videos were published on YouTube. All AM Stations of RMN in the country have uploaded their versions on each their own YouTube channels. Each station were commissioned to produce a video based on the jingle, showcasing the local station’s administrative, the on air staff and locals as casts.

Although the lyrics and musical arrangements are the same, each station campaign is customized with its station logo.

RMN Zamboanga DXRZ reached more than 2,000 views on YouTube. Among other stations that have published their campaigns on line are DYRI Iloilo, RMN Cagayan De Oro, DXKR Kalibo, DYHP Cebu, RMN Gensan, DXBC, DYVR Roxas, DXDR Dipolog, DYHB Bacolod, and DXIC Iligan.

iFM, the FM division of RMN, has also made  a string of successful brand campaigns from its “Ang FM mo iFM Ko” in the early 2000s, to the “Sa iFM, sigurading enjoy ka” artist-driven jingles today.

Whitney Elizabeth Houston (August 9, 1963 – February 11, 2012) was an American recording artist, actress, producer, and model.

In 2009, the Guinness World Records cited her as the most-awarded female act of all-time. Houston was also one of the world’s best-selling music artists, having sold over 170 million albums, singles and videos worldwide.

On February 11, 2012, Houston was found dead in her guest room at the Beverly Hilton Hotel, in Beverly Hills, California, of causes not immediately known. News of her death, the day before the 2012 Grammy Awards, dominated American and international media.

Adele Set Fire To The Rain

Here is the result from last Friday’s Countdown Top 7 and Wannabees on RX 93.1.

Adele is still the reigning queen with Set Fire To The Rain. The “Rumour Has It” singer brought home a handful of awards from last Sunday’s 54th Grammys, including Record of the Year, Song of the Year, Album of the Year and Best Vocal Performance.

The pop jazz singer got into heat seat just recently, after alternative band Coldplay got “supposedly” irked by Adele’s apparent domination, especially referring to the Brit Awards

Front man Chris Martin said:

“Unless Adele somehow deletes her albums, I think we can come to the conclusion that [we won't win]. I’m pretty sure of it.”

Kelly Clarkson is number 2 with Stronger, One Direction’s What Makes You Beautiful is at number 3, Drake and Rihanna’s Take Care at number 4, while the Dev- Enrique Iglesias landed at number 5 with Naked.

The Black Keys made it to nunber 6 with Lonely Boy and SomedayDream completed the Top 7 with Sing This Song.

Spirit FM Lucena

Manila-based OPM alternative band Childstar was commissioned to sing the brand new station ID jingle for Spirit FM.

Spirit FM is the flagship brand for all FM stations in the country that are affiliated or operated and owned by the Catholic Media Network. There are currently 21 stations under the wings of CMN.

However, 15 of the 21 stations carry the Spirit FM logo. CMN Station in Cebu, for instance is branded as Power  89.1. While DXDD FM in Ozamiz is known as 100.7 Cool Radio.

Childstar is composed of Aaron Plata (Guitars), Brenton Bernardo (Guitars), Francis Vista (Bass), and Jeffrey Castro (Drums).
