The news of the death of Apple ex-CEO stunned the world.

Innovator, visionary, and tough leader Steve Jobs passed away October 5, 2011 with cause still not revealed.

Fellow Apple workers were shocked but fans were kind of expecting after Steve himself announced his diagnosis of pancreatic cancer and liver transplant.

The cancer was miraculously cured though but report has it that his liver transplant, which Jobs kept secret to his co-board members at Apple, made him weaker.

Where to Download Artist Drops for Radio Production

Artist drops are not only great to use in radio production. It has been heard on sweepers, concert promos, and station IDs and they are effective.

The idea is that if you have the real artist speaking in a concert spot for example, the artist drop adds more convincing power to the spot and furthers its capacity to grab the listener’s attention.

Stations like Z100 in New York and KIIS FM Los Angeles use real celebrity sound bites in their radio spots. Not only does it make the production credible, it humanizes the audio.

Traditional Radio Advertisers Migrate to Pandora

In a recent report released by Edison Research, traditional radio advertisers were channeling their budgets to Pandora as their preferred media.

The recent report published this week revealed that the internet radio service has become major radio markets targeted to listeners aged 18 to 34 years old.

“We’re seeing a growing wave of local advertisers shifting their terrestrial broadcast budgets to internet radio”, says Tim Westergren, founder of Pandora.

He further revealed that advertisers like hotels, car dealers, supermarkets, real estate dealers and universities are switching to Pandora for advertising.

What Is The Most Listened To Internet Radio Content?

The advertising revenue for internet radio increased 21% in 2011 against revenues in 2010. This, according to a new report by the IAB or Interactive Advertising Bureau. But which internet radio content do advertisers pour in most of their money?

The IAB data mentioned Edison Research and Arbitron as sources for its report and revealed that 89 million web users have been tuning in to internet radio.

A bulk of the advertising spending came from the major businesses such as automakers, restaurants and retailers.

Mobile online radio listening has now become an increasing trend, says IAB, with 45% of listeners tuned in using smart phones.

British band Coldplay has announced the release of a follow up to the hit song “Every Teardrop Is A Waterfall”.

The new track “Paradise” is the second single lifted from the album Mylo Xyloto.

The song was released today September 12, 2011.

The single had its world wide debut at exactly 7:50am on BBC Radio 1 on September 12, 2011.

The album will be released October 24.
