The launch of Magic 92.3 last Monday April 29, 2013 was a blast.

Listeners from here and abroad could only have nice words for the new brand. DYKB FM 92.3 Mhz used to be KillerBee, a brand shared with other Quest Broadcasting CHR sister stations around the country.

The rebrand was also made for Magic 106.3 (Bacolod), Magic 95.1 Silliman Radio (Dumaguete), Magic 102.3 Caraga’s Hit Radio (Butuan), Magic 95.5 (Zamboanga), Magic 89.3 (Cagayan de Oro), Magic 89.1 (Davao) and Magic 106.3 (General Santos). Dublin’s FM104 has celebrated their latest audience figures with a brand new sound from ReelWorld Productions.

The jingles are a re-sing of the successful Radio 538 package which originally aired on the market leading station in The Netherlands.

Programme Director at FM104 Dave Kelly is excited about the new image: “As Dublin’s number one music station we believe in keeping things fresh. When we heard the Radio 538 package we just knew it was a perfect fit for our sound and the Dublin market. Classic Top 40 Sound Comes Back To Mainstream Radio

This past few days especially this week we have the return of the classic sound of Top 40.

If you are not familiar with it, it resembles the sound of the 70s, fused with some elements of the 80s. In other words, the pinnacle of the sound of pop music in the 90s.

This return I am talking about is very evident in songs like Little Talk and Capital Cities – Sound and Safe.

Reflecting a diverse playlist – from Adele and Bruno Mars to Whitney Houston and Westlife, the new package works as a “transition between a range of musical universes”.. Programme Director and General Manager Christian Schalt “AC radio station imaging is more challenging than before. 80’s songs are still strong on many radios, but so are current tracks from R`n´B and Dance artists. We needed a contemporary wrapper for our station. Wise Buddah not only understood our brief immediately, but also came up with many additional ideas to achieve this goal.
