After last year’s new ReelWorld jingle package, France’s Radio Scoop this month welcomed another 10 custom themes to their on air sound.

Having already catered to the tastes and playlists of European programmers with the original package, the 10 theme Radio Scoop 2 update builds upon the foundation for a more dynamic sound — incorporating pop rock and softer melodies into the production.

Radio Scoop’s Director of Music and Programming Laurent Ripoll is happy – “Working with Reelworld is always a pleasure! To evolve our sound I wanted something more organic, more pop driven. We’re playing tunes like Lorde, Katy Perry, Beyonce and Ellie Goulding which are less about upbeat dance music.

It was like a big slap in the face when I heard the first instrumentals!

The package showcases voice talents of Mari Ferencz, David Kusztos – created by TGMStudios Romania.

It is the first package from the production company and they are announcing that they will be offering a special discounted price.

Radio Yorkshire is a new digital station in the UK and they are proud to say they are using jingles from ReelWorld Europe.

The station offers a varied programming  including regional news, music and sport.

Radio Charivari Würzburg New 2014 Jingles

One of Germany’s heritage radio brands, Charivari in Würzburg, has made a fresh start with an AC package from PURE Jingles.

Playing the best mix of classic & current hits, and delivering local news & events – that’s what Charivari in the German state of Bavaria is delivering to its 30-59 year-old target demographic every day. The AC station, established in the 1980s, is now reaching almost a quarter of the 450,000 households in its direct broadcast area, and is aiming even higher with an updated program schedule and a fresher on-air image. Subsequently, it was time for new jingles!

Character
“A jingle package should have the same as a radio personality – character and authenticity”, says program director Daniel Pesch (who is also the morning anchor on Charivari). “Not even the best-testing power rotation title on your playlist gets the amount of airplay as your jingles do. So they have to be appealing and memorable.” He’s often heard children sing along to the jingles of their hometown station. “That’s a great opportunity for every station. It positions us in the listener’s mind, and it is super important for how the audience perceives us.”

Bridge
Pesch had a clear vision of how the new Charivari should sound. “I want to build a bridge between our loyal listeners and our new friends – sounding catchy and modern, without being too young and wild. During the recording session I noticed how PURE Jingles worked on every nuance, until it would seamlessly fit our brand. Last, but not least, it was a lot of fun to work with their creative team on this package. It just occurred to me that I’ve been listening to the jingles for several weeks in a row now, and every time again I enjoy them just as much as the first time!”

RTE 2fm New Jingles 2014 from ReelWorld Europe

Ireland’s 2fm has already undergone some major programming changes this year and now they have a new on air sound courtesy of the team at ReelWorld Europe.

The jingle package is made up of branded musical themes and ID’s and swaps out sung vocals for a new sonic logo built around the station voice over. The contemporary instrumentation provides a platform for the personalities to shine.

Head of 2fm Dan Healy said : “We’ve made a lot of changes to update listener’s perceptions of 2fm and better engage our target audience. The on air branding is a crucial part of that process and the team at ReelWorld have delivered a contemporary sound that matches our audience aspirations.”

Recent changes at the station include Westlife singer Nicky Byrne taking over daytimes as well as a string of new specialist shows.

Lisa Dignam is the Creative Audio Production Co-ordinator at RTE: “The jingles are already getting a great reaction – it was what we needed to make the station sound stand out.”

As well as custom news and utility beds, the jingles are based on the musical themes of ReelWorld’s new 103.5 KTU package, which the company have just finished for the iconic New York radio station.

Anthony Gay, ReelWorld’s European MD, said: “Some people in the industry have talked about jingles being dead. Let me clarify that they’re alive and well. Like everything in life jingles have evolved in new directions and what we’ve created for 2fm is a great example of strong sonic branding.”

RTE 2fm reaches over 800,000 listeners in Ireland every week.

TABradio is a Western Australia station entirely dedicated to horse racing, dog racing and sports. And that means: a lot of talk and a lot of live reports.

SOB created a custom package for TABradio with 9 themes that come in many different versions so they can be used as talkover beds, but also as regular jingles and shotgun jingles. Every jingle is also produced as an instrumental version.

“SOB is a pleasure to work with! If I didn’t know how busy these guys are I would’ve thought we were the only client: so much time and attention was devoted to the TABradio jingle package by SOB Audio Imaging. Ongoing communication and prompt responses definitely set the bar high in the industry.

As far as the package goes… Being a horse and dog racing station, we’ve hit SOB with a very challenging brief to meet. Unlike your music radio station our audience is not united by a certain era or music style, and we don’t fit your standard news or sports talk format station either. The only thing our TA has in common is their love for #1 sport in Australia –racing, a very intense sport that doesn’t allow you to have a set hourly clock, instead provides you with programming that is full of frequent surprises.

Based on that fact (and maybe a few more things) SOB delivered a very diverse package that allows us to tie in all program elements together and be prepared for any surprises of the live sports broadcast.

Norway has a fairly large population that is older than 60 years, and it is rapidly growing, as in many other European countries. This particular group of listeners felt that it wasn’t serviced enough by the existing radio stations. So public broadcaster NRK decided to create a special channel for them: NRK P1+. And they decided to come to SOB for a special station imaging package that would fit perfectly with the station’s unique character.

The result? An intimate, all-acoustic nostalgia custom jingle package that reflects the very broad variety of music styles that can be heard on the station: from the 50s to today’s soft hits, from jazz to Norwegian folk music, from classical music to singer-songwriter songs. There’s no sung vocals but a very distinct sound logo, that has become extremely recognizable in the short time that the jingles have been on-air.
