99.5dWR-TFM ( Manila) will still be CHR, Contemporary Hit Radio but will be called Play FM.
Netizens however on social media aren’t happy.

5 months after the tragic fire that killed 17 people at a three-story garment store, Butuan City is struck again with another blaze, this time the building where a radio station is operating.
Love Radio Butuan City, which operates at the 2nd floor Montalban Building, A.D. Curato Street, 8600 Butuan City was reduced into ashes as social media reports say fire broke out at 8:12 AM, October 4, 2012.

Local AM radio station DYHP of RMN Cebu won in three categories during the first Cebu Media Excellence awards.
Recognized as Radio Broadcaster of the Year was Atty. Ruphil Bañoc, who also happens to be a columnist at Sun.Star SuperBalita tabloid).
The Reporter of the Year went to Astra zina.
While, Aida Tampus and Atty. Allan Piloton from the radio show Dream Ko Kalamboan Mo, got the Feature Story of the Year Award.
The Cebu Media Excellence Awards aims to honor media practitioners who have served the public with truthfulness and have contributed for the common good.

During the Bank of America Merrill Lynch Media, Communications and Entertainment Conference earlier this week, Karmazin said traditional radio should do something and invest in technology and programming.
“Ten years ago radio revenue was $20 billion and satellite and Internet radio were zero. Today, radio is a 14-15 billion dollar market, Satellite radio gets $3.4 billion, and Internet radio gets between a half and one billion. The international company, who has also helped set and image Red Ribbon Radio, Greenwhich Radio and Robinson’s Radio to name a few, announced the new deal last July 29, 2012.
“I think audio marketing is like TV marketing, putting on billboards, adverts on newspapers. (With David’s Salon Radio) clients hear our music, all of the time, they hear our jingles all of the time, they hear my little spiels every now and then, and I think it works really well.” says David Charlton, CEO of David’s Salon on his thoughts about in-store radio. NASA indeed has launched an online radio station, but they’re not broadcasting from space though. It’s called Third Rock Radio and the slogan goes “America’s Space Station.”
The radio station runs on a rock and alternative format showcasing rocks from independent artists.
The said project is a collaboration between RFC Media and the NASA.
