Netizens React To 99.5dWR-TFM ( Manila) Rebranding, Welcome 99.5 Play FM

Play FM (Not official logo)

99.5dWR-TFM ( Manila) is not reformatting. It is rebranding.

99.5dWR-TFM ( Manila) will still be CHR, Contemporary Hit Radio but will be called Play FM.

Netizens however on social media aren’t happy.

“Since 1985 I had been an avid listener of 99.5dWR-TFM ( Manila) and power 105. 99.5dWR-TFM ( Manila)was called rhythm of the city then. Power 105 was long gone and most FM stations had reformatted to “for life” and kailangan pa bang memorize yan type. Well goodbye local FM stations and say hello to Internet FM.” – Enrique Raguro Janozo, Manila. Continue reading Netizens React To 99.5dWR-TFM ( Manila) Rebranding, Welcome 99.5 Play FM

Adele

The last quarter of 2011 is pretty exciting, in fact this year 2011, we’ve witnessed some of the biggest shifts in the music industry, like the death of Amy Winehouse.

Adele is following up with a song called Set Fire To The Rain.

Radio Chart-toppers Hits Top 10 Workout Songs (October)

Rihanna

Run Hundred, a free online workout music database had just released a list of radio chart toppers that made it to the Top 10 Workout Songs.

Fort Wayne, IN  – This month’s list brings two questions to mind:

#1.  For how many consecutive months will David Guetta turn up in these top 10 lists?  (His new track with Usher made the cut–and he just barely missed making it again with his recent Nicki Minaj collaboration).

#2.  Will Calvin Harris, Benny Benassi or Afrojack be the one that unseats him?  (All three are making their second appearances on the charts this month.  And, like Guetta, each has begun being billed as the artist on his tracks–rather than being credited as the producer/remixer, which was the case a couple years ago.)
